A Brilliant Lie and the Sword of Destiny

We were torn between titling the sword the Sword of Destiny and the Sword of a Thousand Truths but I feel pretty safe we made the right call.

Explanation: Tara discovered this sword in the toy section of a gas station. We couldn't separate her from it or its ridiculous sound effects throughout most of our time at Sunfest. Speaking of Sunfest; IT WAS AMAZING!!! The turn-out was incredible, the people were awesome, and the bands totally destroyed it*. Whilst at Sunfest Tara, Tim and a few close ABL friends ate at an amazing restaurant in downtown West Palm called "Grease" and split a sandwich called the "Grease Beast" We will let the photos give the details...

Although it may sound gross, we can assure you it was delicious. Anyway, we resumed hardcore writing mode so we can have some brand new material ready for our upcoming show at The Orlando House of Blues on Saturday, June 30th. We will be playing with the great Orlando bands "Andy Matchett and the Minks", "Judy Tribune", and "The Passenger". June 30th will also be Bennett Newsome's birthday (guitar player for "The Passenger"). We hope you can come out for the great music, birthday celebrations, and as always- shenanigans. Until the next absurd blog entry...

*What the hell is "it" in this saying anyway?

FACT OF THE WEEK: The title of one of our less frequently played songs, "Banana Way" was inspired by the film "Only The Strong". This movie is absolutely terrible. NOT SO INFORMATIVE NEWS FLASH: A Brilliant Lie loves terrible movies. The lyrics to the song have nothing to do with the film whatsoever, we simply couldn't come up with a name for it...

... at 1:28 into the video it will all make sense. And yes, that's the dude from Iron Chef.
