Birthdays, potato sack races, airports and beer.

Let me begin by saying potato sack races are exhausting, and even more so when you've been drinking...

If you are curious as to the occasion- and the birthday hat isn't enough for you- our lovely singer miss Tara Lightfoot had a Birthday last week, she is 19 years old again!

Anyway, apart from these shenanigans- and a few others of course -we have been keeping pretty busy. While most of A Brilliant Lie took advantage of the opportunity to support some local bands this writer (Tim) was flown up to Boston last minute by his amazing brother to see Thrice again on their farewell tour. Needless to say it was excellent. Boston is an awesome city and we can't wait to play there. While I was in Boston I discovered the doppelganger to Robert Spence (bass player for our friends "Traverser"). I couldn't help but share this... Sorry Rob!

ROB FROM "TRAVERSER"        HIS BOSTONIAN DOPPELGANGER

What makes this even better is Rob almost always has a hat and a Rolling Rock but I couldn't find a picture of him in his natural state. If you ever want to meet the doppelganger he tends bar at a great place called "The Tam" in downtown Boston.

SERIOUS MODE COMMENCED: Well our newest fancy song is really pumping us up. And there's no question that we'll have it ready for you guys at our upcoming House of Blues show. Speaking of that show...

WABAM! CACHOW! KADOOSH!* and any other onomonopia that help emphasize the awesomeness of this flyer. This weekend we will be be posting this around town with free tickets to the show. Trust us, if you aren't at this show you will be somewhere else and it will hit you; "I am not as cool as all the people at the ABL show". We will only retract this claim if you are hanging out with Arnold Schwarzenegger- no exceptions, Vane Damme is an acceptable substitute ONLY if you can perform a more impressive split than him, in which case we will write a song about you. Until the next eloquent and poetic blog entry...

Fact of the week: The shot glasses that can be found in our kitchen have the Smurfs on them. Unfortunately there have been some casualties over the years. (Facts of the week are hard to come up with)
